If You Want to Talk About Teen Parenting Please Keep Your Shame Front and Center



Today this article ARIEL GORE: DEAR FAMILY VALUES was pulled from Psychology Today. If you ever doubt that teenage parents aren’t supposed to speak unless we are apologizing while wrapped in a cloak of shame, here’s another little bit of proof that we aren’t ever allowed to be proud of our teen parenting years or to, even decades later.

I’m so angry. We exist and we damn well deserve to speak out against buckets of shame that they try to drown us in at ever turn.
